the jersey ice cream co. shop

while we're still far from our dream of a brick and mortar store in new york--with international buying trips and shipping containers galore, naturally--we've decided we're going to set up my living room as a by-appointment-only shop!

i've recently finished panelling the walls with MDF and about 400 linear feet of reclaimed (and HUGE) base cap molding. we just need to paint and start bringing stuff in from storage.

we're hoping to be open in a couple weeks (though maybe not till late july with brimfield round two rapidly approaching). until then, enjoy some pictures of the living room in progress!

the room before settlement:

the molding before nail removal:

step one: MDF

step two: molding

step three: chiropractor and yoga (chronic upper back pain)

step four: caulking and priming

brimfield and design*sponge and grace bonney, oh my!

the only thing better than being featured on design*sponge three times this past week (here, here, and here) is that grace bonney bought a bench that i made! she's planning on putting it in the entryway of her new apartment.
